Trip Overview

The adventurous journey of the Everest base camp via three passes trek starts from Kathmandu domestic airport with a very interesting adventurous flight of around 35 min to Lukla aiport with an altitude of (2,860m). After that, you will start the trek to EBC throught three passes gaining the altitude by every step every day up to Kala Patthar (5,545m). Today, Everest Base Camp trekking is one of the most facilitated trekking routes in Nepal in terms of food, accommodation, medication, and a pretty good trekking trail despite it is high altitude. This region is the most popular trekking area in Nepal and one of the most popular destinations in the world.  During this trekking, you will get a chance to explore incredible landscapes, amazing Mountains view, and Himalayan Buddhist culture on the basis of the beliefs and faith of Sherpas.

Since 1953 the golden path for every adventurous spirit of the world is explored by Sir Edmund Hillary and with his porter or co-partner Tensing Norgay Sherpa. This region is famous as sacred land for adventurous spirit of the world and the shining path of the Sherpa people for their name, fame, and glorious prosperity of today.  Other hand Sherpas, are known as also snow leopard for mountaineering in Nepal.  sherpas got a chance to come out from poverty and miserable life, avoiding the frozen future under the snow holding the hand of Hillary. Because of Hillary Sherpa got another opportunity to explore the different tests of the professions, power of wealth, and diversity of culture in the world. So that Sir Edmund Hillary lives at the bottom of Sherpa’s heart as long as Mt. Everest lives. Apart from that Everest Base Camp trekking became the way of living of many Nepalese people today, according to their physical, social, and economical class. Despite every anxious step of life, never end dreaming and creating a life story in this region.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Kathmandu(1,350m.), Nepal

We will pick you up at Tribhuvan international airport and after check-in the hotel briefing on your adventure trip in Nepal.

Day 2: Sightseeing heritage site in Kathmandu(2,610m.) 3 hours walk

Kathmandu valley the is capital city of Nepal with its very ancient civilization and full of heritage sites to visit. As a cultural introduction, you will take to sightseeing Kathmandu durbar square, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath .

Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding(2,610m.) 3 hours walk

Early in the morning flight to Lukla 35 minutes in the sky with the incredible experience of a lifetime, from Lukla, you will start a journey of adventure on the roof the world by your feet all along the rocky trail with many explorers; exploring the amazing landscape, culture and way of life. Night stay in speaking. 

Day 4: Phakding to Namche Bazaar(3,440m.) 7 hours walk

Everest region is known as also Khumbu region. It is listed in UNESCO as a natural world heritage site by the name of Sagarmatha national park. During this trekking throughout the hour and day ascend towards Everest base camp. Namche Bazaar is the main entrance of EBC, it is founded as a modern town in the lap of the highest peak of the world, just before Namche Bazaar you can get a first glance of Everest through pine trees with an amazing smile on your face. Night stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5: A day for acclimatization

Namche bazaar is a junction before to depart via a different route to Everest base camp. A day for acclimatization in Namche Bazaar is extremely necessary to accomplish you physically, mentally, and climatically because after there, you will be in an altitude up to 4,000m.to Kala Patthar  5,545m. During acclimatization day you will get a beautiful chance to see the second time Everest view from Everest view hotel (it is the beautiful viewpoint of Mount Everest), after that Khumjung and Kunde village visit. There is a beautiful monastery in the village, they believed that the skull in the monastery belongs to Yeti. Night stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 6: Namche to Thame(3,800m.) 4 hours walk

Thame is a small highland valley of sherpa village. In the village beautiful monastery, Buddhist traditional cultural way of life, modern facilitated Hotel and Lodge, amazing landscape, grazing Yaks and horses in the field and surrounding the valley just above your head snow-capped mountain smiling to you.  Night stay at Thame.

Day 7: Thame to Lungden(4,500m.) 6 hours walk

All the way up to Lungden through the narrow highland valley following crystal clear white Bhote Koshi river, in your every breath little by little altitude starts gaining all along the day but a reflection of the stunning view of the snow-capped mountain on your sunglass inspire you to go ahead without any stop. Night stay in Lungden. 

Day 8: Lungden via Renjo-La pass to Gokyo(4,750m.) 8 hours walk

Renjo-la pass is the first pass of the three passes. Early in the morning, you should hit the road going up to the pass (5,340m). From the there magnificent views of the top of the world, amazing feelings, and motivation toward destination despite extremely tired and thirsty. After the pass descends towards Gokyo lake. Night stay in Gokyo.

Day 9: Gokyo RI hike for acclimatization and rest

After breakfast, you can hike around there in nature wherever you like. Most of the travelers go up to Gokyo-RI for fabulous views of  Cho-Oyu and many more…..mountains. Your hotel is just in front of Gokyo lake, it’s amazing here, it keeps continue changing view over the beautiful lake. We never know about the weather on the mountain. You can enjoy hot beverages in the warm restaurant looking outside all around observing the strange atmosphere there having rest to restore the energy for the next day. Night stay in Gokyo.

Day 10: Gokyo to Thangna (4,485m.)

Thangna is a base camp of Cho-la pass. All the way crossing the rocky glacier with up and down strange trail lead you through the amazing rocky valley toward Thangna. The valley itself surrounding by high snow-capped mountain just above your head, so a day completely different during the trip. Night stay in Thangna.

Day 11: Thangna via Cho La pass to Zhongli(4,240m) 8 hours walk

Cho-la pass (5,420 m) is one of the most well-known and adventurous passes in the region. Early in the morning should start going up to the pass. After the pass all the way down toward Zhong-la finding the big rocky trail.

Day 12: Zhongla to Gorak shep(5,165m) 5 hours walk

You are already close to Everest base camp above 5,000m. Despite easy trail hard to go forward because of altitude. After a couple of hours, you will join to classic Everest base camp trail and crowds of trekkers at Lobuche. Night stay in Gorak Shep

Day 13: Gorak shep to EBC(5,380m) and Back 5 hours walk

Gorak Shep is the final station for trekkers little away from Everest base camp. The day most important, After lunch ahead toward Everest base camp to turn your lifetime dream in reality standing at EBC just in front of Khumbu glacier or gateway up to Everest summit. Night stay in Gorak Shep

Day 14: Kala patthar hike and  to Lobuche(4,940m.) 6 hours walk.

Early in the morning start to go up to the summit of Kala Patthar(5,545m.), it is only one incredible viewpoint of the top of the world “Everest”. After some snaps of photos with the biggest smile and talking to the Everest summit face to face for a while, start to descend to Gorak shep saying also big goodbye…of a lifetime and after breakfast ahead to Lobuche. Night stay in Lobuche

Day 15: Lobuche via Kongma-la pass to Chhukkung(4,730m) 6hours walk

Kongma-la pass (5,535 m) is the final pass three of them, this pass is well-known for stunning view on the roof of the world. All along with the trail amazing view of surrounding highest mountains in the region and pleasant walk. Night stay in chucking

Day 16: Chhukkung  to Tengbuche(3,870m) 6.5hours walk

Chhukkung valley is another last corner of the Khumbu(Everest) region. today start getting back all the way down to Tengboche achieving a lifetime dream, extremely happy for exploration of the roof of the world. Night stay in Tengboche

Day 17: Tengbuche to Manju(2,836m.) 7 hours walk

Tengboche is the holiest land for Buddhists in the region. Where is the biggest and most ancient monastery exists with their ancient traditional way of culture. From Tengboche all the way down to Manju creating a life story. Night stay in Manju

Day 18: Manju to Lukla(2,850m.) 6 hours walk

Today all most at the end of your adventurous trip, still a wish remain for a scheduled flight to Kathmandu from Lukla.

Day 19: Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu

Fly back to Kathmandu is a final step of an adventurous trip. Fly back to Kathmandu, check-in hotel, and fee day to have rest. Night stay in Kathmandu

Day 20: Sightseeing Bhaktapur and Patan

Bhaktapur and Patan are two different cultural ancient towns in Kathmandu valley. They are listed in world heritage. Night stay in Kathmandu                                                                                          

Day 21: Depart Nepal

After your last night in Nepal, make your way to the airport back home.
