Trip Overview

Salleri to Everest base camp trekking is one of the best cultural trekking in Nepal, known as a cultural trek on the roof of the world. The trip starts from Kathmandu all the way driving to Salleri. During the trek, you will get a golden chance to explore the amazing geographical structures with stunning landscapes, as well as very friendly indigenous people, and on the basis of their religious beliefs mixing vast cultural way of life.

Khumbu or Everest region is the most popular trekking area in Nepal and known as incredible adventurous trekking destination in the world. Today, there are two ways to get in the region, all the way driving to Salleri from Kathmandu and directly flying to Lukla. Most of them Due to their short time frame of vacation, who wish to attempt their trip to Everest base camp within two weeks, they start from Kathmandu domestic airport flying to Lukla and then begin to walk. The trekking in this region is one of the most facilitated trekking, in terms of accommodation, food, medication, and trekking trail despite it is high altitude.  

Since 1953 the golden path for every adventurous spirit of the world is explored by Sir Edmund Hillary and with his porter or co-partner Tensing Norgay Sherpa. This region is famous as sacred land for adventurous spirit of the world and the shining path of the Sherpa people for their name, fame, and glorious prosperity of today.  Other hand Sherpas, are known as also snow leopard for mountaineering in Nepal.  sherpas got a chance to come out from poverty and miserable life, avoiding the frozen future under the snow holding the hand of Hillary. Because of Hillary Sherpa got another opportunity to explore the different tests of the professions, power of wealth, and diversity of culture in the world. So that Sir Edmund Hillary lives at the bottom of Sherpa’s heart as long as Mt. Everest lives. Apart from that Everest Base Camp trekking became the way of living of many Nepalese people today, according to their physical, social, and economical class. Despite every anxious step of life, never end dreaming and creating a life story in this region.

The Everest region is known as Khumbu region in Nepal. The Everest base camp trekking takes you to the roof of the world. It’s an adventurous journey to achieve a lifetime dream for everyone in a lifetime. 

Detail Itinerary

 Day 1: Arrival to Kathmandu(1,350m.), Nepal

We will pick you up at Tribhuvan international airport and after check-in the hotel briefing on your adventure trip in Nepal.

Day 2: Sightseeing heritage site in Kathmandu(1,350m.)

Kathmandu valley is the capital city of Nepal with its very ancient civilization and full of heritage sites to visit. As a cultural introduction you will take sightseeing Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, and Bouddhanath.

Day 3: Drive to Salleri(2,290m.) 9 hours drive for trekking point

Depart to trekking point Salleri, 9 hours drive all the way beautiful scenario, amazing landscape, and exploration of the hilly region. Salleri is a small town, its headquarters of Solukhumbu District

Day 4: Salleri to Takshindo(3,075m) 7 hours

Everything is new all around you, amazing excitement and fresh energy because it is the first day. As you know Nepal is a hilly country so during your trip, every day going up and down the trail is quite common. Today, a beautiful day! All the way through the village, pine forest, and first glimpse of Mt. Everest very interesting exploration. Night stay in Takshindo.

Day 5: Takshindo to Khari-Khola(2,040m) 6 hours

Tak Shindo is a very beautiful viewpoint, you can see all around from there. This section of trekking trail is famous for going down to the river and coming up to the hill that’s why some vulgar words come out from your mouth silently…..but you are so happy to meet people, to say “NAMASTE” to exchange a smile, to see their culture and daily life and to imagine a while that how Lucky you are….! Night stay in Khari-Khola.

Day 6: Khari Khola to Paiya (2,745m) 6 to 7 hours

Khari-Khola is also a very interesting village walk around and to see their way of life. Also today up and down trail continue……..but don’t worry! You are not alone many people have been doing for many generations, for you many things to discover, beautiful mountains, rivers, landscapes, and culture. Night stay at paiya.

Day 7: Paiya to phakding(2,6280m) 6 hours

Paiya is very beautiful in the middle of the pine forest. Today, you are going to join the classic main route EBC. Most of the tourist who landed at Lukla direct from Kathmandu, a crowd of tourists also join. Night stay at Phakding.

Day 8: Phakding to Namche Bazaar(3,440m.) 7 hours walk

The Everest region is known as also Khumbu region. It is listed in UNESCO as a natural world heritage site by the name of Sagarmatha national park. During this trekking throughout the hour and day ascend towards Everest base camp. Namche Bazaar is the main entrance of EBC, it is founded as a modern town in the lap of the highest peak of the world, just before Namche Bazaar you can get the first glance of Everest through pine trees with an amazing smile on your face. Night stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 9: A day for acclimatization

Namche Bazaar is a junction before departing via a different route to the Everest base camp. A day for acclimatization in Namche Bazaar is extremely necessary to accomplish you physically, mentally, and climatically because after there, you will be in an altitude up to 4,000m.to Kala Patthar 5,545m. During acclimatization day you will get a beautiful chance to see the second time Everest view from Everest view hotel (it is the beautiful viewpoint of mount Everest), after that Khumjung(3,785m.)and Kunde village visit. There is a beautiful monastery in the village, they believed that the skull in the monastery belongs to Yeti. Night stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 10: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,860m.) 6 hour walk

 Tengboche is itself a fabulous viewpoint in the middle of the rhododendron forest and also very famous among the local people of this region. There is one of the largest monasteries of the Khumbu region. It is situated just down at the foothill of Amadablam mountain, this mountain is one of the most beautiful mountains in Nepal.

Day 11: Tengboche to Pheriche(4370m.) 7 hours walk

 Pheriche is a foothill valley of mount Lobuche on the bank of a small river, it was last human settlement in the Everest region in the past. It is really agreeable to walk around to explore high altitude vegetation, grazing yaks, and horses on both side of the river. It is an amazing scenic sight for photo snaps.

Day 12: Pheriche to Lobuche (4,910) 6 hours walk

Lobuche is just in the middle at the foothill of Lobuche peak and mount Nuptse. Today, you are really surrounded by the highest mountain and on the roof of the world.

 Day 13: Lobuche to Gorak shep (5,160m) 3 hours walk

Gorak shep is the last station for trekkers a little bit before then EBC just at the foothill of Kalapatthar. EBC is just a couple of kilometers away from Gorak shep. After lunch, you can hike to Everest Base Camp(EBC) (5,364m.) to turn your lifetime dream in reality in a lifetime with lifetime Nepal treks &tours.

Day 14: Gorak shep to Dingboche(4,385m.)

Early in the morning hike to Kala Patthar summit. It is only one incredible viewpoint of mount Everest. After some snaps of beautiful photos saying goodbye to Everest start get down to Gorak shep and having breakfast all the way down to Dingboche. It is also a beautiful valley next to the right side of Pheriche. Night stay in Dingboche.

Day 15: Dingboche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m.) 7 hours walk

All the way down on the same way back to Namche Bazar. It’s amazing energy to get back home. Night stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 16: Namche Bazaar to Phakding (2,610m.) 7 hours walk

On the same way back to Phakding, all most at the end of an adventurous trip wishing to be the flight to Kathmandu on schedule. Night stay in Phakding.

Day 17: Phakding to Lukla(2845m) 3 hours walk

 You have done your trek successfully but still remain a wish to fly back to Kathmandu on the schedule. Night stay in Lukla.

 Day 18: Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu

Fly back to Kathmandu is a final step of an adventurous trip. Fly back to Kathmandu, check-in hotel, and a free day to have rest. Night stay in Kathmandu

Day 19: Sightseeing Bhaktapur and Patan

Bhaktapur and Patan are two different cultural ancient towns in Kathmandu valley. They are listed in world heritage. Night stay in Kathmandu

Day 20: Depart Nepal

After your last night in Nepal, make your way to the airport back home.
