Trip Overview
Mustang means "fertile plain" in their local language.It is the former Kingdom of Lo. It is part of north-central Nepal, bordering to Tibetan plateau between the region of Dolpo and Manang.
Mustang is divided into two-part as lower Mustang and upper Mustang. Upper Mustang is called the Kingdom of Lo region, this region is the magic of nature and wonder of the culture and a paradise on earth. To get into these both region you need to have a different permit. Kagbeni is the official border to upper Mustang, where are the permits check post. Just after Gyu La (pass) east of Kagbeni brings you into the hidden magical world and in-depth of amazing authenticity of the Tibetan Buddhist kingdom of Mustang “Lo” used to be part of the Tibetan empire so still today their geographical, social and cultural way of life very closely related to Tibet. Tibetan Buddhism is still being practiced in a very pure way and their settlements are also as same as in Tibetan. Mustang is still like an independent kingdom socially and culturally that’s why their authenticity lives as before.

ITINERARY DETAILS
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 2: Morning - a short briefing on the trek and its preparations; afternoon – Cultural visit to
Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa.
Day 3: Depart to Pokhara(830m), 7 hours drive
Day 4: Pokhara to Marpha(2,812m), 6/7hours drive
Day 5: Marpha to Chuksang(2,980m) via kagbeni, 5 hours drive
Day 6: Chusang to Gheling(3,565m) via Samar, 4 hours drive
Day 7: Gheling to Dhakmar(3,800m), 4 hours drive
Day 8: Dhakmar to Lo-Manthang(3,780m), 3 hours drive
Day 9: Lo-Manthang to visit around Lo-Manthang, to explore beyond imagination(3,780m)
Day 10: Lo-Manthang to continue exploring really all that exists beyond the imagination(3,7880m)
Day 11: Lo-Manthang to Chele(3,050m) via Tsarang, 5 hours drive
Day 12: Chele to Jomsom(2,743m) via Muktinath(3800m), 5 hours drive
Day 13: Jomsom to Tatopani or hot spring(1,190), 4 hours drive ( from Jomsom possible to fly back to
Pokhara)
Day 14: Tatopani to Pokhara(830m) 5 hours drive
Day 15: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu drive
Day 16: Depart to the airport to get back home
