Gosaikunda Trek

Trip Overview

Gosaikund Trek is one of the most famous short trekking in Nepal, It is also in the Langtang region and protected as Langtang National park. It contains a wide variety of climatic zones, from subtropical to alpine, so that this region is also one of the very rich for flora and fauna in Nepal. Moreover, Gosaikund is very famous as Hindu pilgrimage, according to Hinduism mythology where Lord shiva had relaxed and reformatted. It is known as the holiest Gosainkunda Lakes (4,380m) and the beginning source of Trisuli River. Once in a year hundreds of thousand Hindu made a pilgrimage here in the month of August.

Langtang valley is an amazing beautiful Himalayan Boudhist village. There were existing one of the most ancient Tibetan cultural village and their authentic cultural way of life until the earthquake of 25 april 2015. Despite earthquake entirely village was swift away by the avalanche of highest mountain of the region langtang Lirung, today entirely village reconstructed by the economical help of international community and Nepal government. But still today we can see terrible devastating destructive footprint of earthquake in the valley and we can imagine what they happened in that unfortunate incident.

ITINERARY DETAILS

 Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

 Day 2: Day 02: Morning - a short briefing on the trek and its preparations; afternoon – Cultural visit to

Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa.

 Day 3: Drive to Dhunche (2,030m)

 Day 4: Dhunche to Thulo Syabru (2,210m)

 Day 5: Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa, Chandanbari (3,250m)

 Day 6: Sing Gomba to Lauribina (3,900m)

 Day 7: Lauribina to Gosainkunda (4,380m)

 Day 8: Gosainkunda to Sing Gompa (3,250m)

 Day 9: Sing Gompa to Dhunche (2,030m)

 Day 10: Dhunche to drive back Kathmandu.

 Day 11: Sightseeing in Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar square.

 Day 12: Departure.

•Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, and early return from the trekking (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary

•Personal expenses (phone calls, laundry, bar bills, extra porters, bottled or boiled water, etc)

•Tips for Guide and porters

 (During the Trek, the guide is allowed to change the itinerary, depending on the weather, climate, and the physical condition of Trekkers.)

 Note: Dear Guests please provide me a copy of your insurance paper, the insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue charge in case of need.
